South Australia’s new Lobbyist Code of Conduct will commence operation on 1 December 2009. Lobbyists will be required to register details on the South Australian Lobbyist Register before making contact with a South Australian government representative. Information about the business, its personnel and its clients must be supplied for inclusion on the register, supported by a statutory declaration, and lobbyists are required to keep their entry in the register up to date.
